Simpson Thacher and Davis Polk & Wardwell have advised on ORIX Corporation’s shelf takedown of $500 million 3.75 percent Senior Notes due 2017.

Headquartered in Tokyo and Osaka, ORIX is a global provider of corporate and real estate finance, leasing, and retail and investment banking services.The underwriters of the deal were Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank Securities and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

A Tokyo-based and New York-based Simpson Thacher team advised the three banks.  It was led by Tokyo partner Alan Cannon and included New York partner Robert Holo, Tokyo-based associates David Snowden and Kate Renaud, and New York-based associates Danny Salinas and Andrew Pagliughi.
 

Representing the issuer were Mitsui Company as its Japanese counsel and Davis Polk & Wardwell as its U.S. counsel.
