Former managing partner of Walsh Halligan Douglas, Matt McCormick, has opened his own new firm – McCormicks.

Having departed his previous firm in May, McCormick opened his firm two months ago with a focus on moving away from traditional assumptions on pricing, service and risk. “We’ve essentially gone back to the drawing board and created a firm which has put some rigour around what it means to be customer-focused and value-driven,” he said. “I knew that starting from scratch wouldn’t be easy, but the amount of support I’ve already received– including customers independently following me to my new firm – has been astounding and only strengthened my conviction.”

The law firm focuses on providing litigation and commercial advice to the insurance, music and entertainment, SME and sports arenas; whilst the consulting practice provides business growth, coaching and brand building advice to the law firm customers and others that operate in the SME, professional services and entertainment space.
