Piper Alderman has announced that it will be proceeding with  plans to launch a class action against Vodafone on behalf of customers disgruntled at alleged poor service. Piper Alderman had previously indicated its interest in pursuing such a class action in 2010 and has collected over 20,000 potential participants since then. The action will be led by Piper Alderman partner Sasha Ivantsoff.

Piper Alderman has also  filed a class action in the Federal Court relating to synthetic collateralised debt obligations, or SCDOs, purchased from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).This action is being led by partner Amanda Banton, who late last year led two related successful class actions against Lehman Brothers and the Standard & Poor’s rating agency.
