Vietnamese law firm Vilaf has expanded its partnership and strengthened its energy offering following a merger with LDV Lawyers, a Ho Chi Minh City-based firm that specialises in energy.

Following the merger, LDV managing partner Luu Hoang Ha will become a partner at Vilaf. Luu, who is vice-chairman of AmCham Vietnam's Energy Committee and Vietnam director of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, will add to Vilaf’s team of seven partners working on projects, power, oil and gas, water, infrastructure and mining.

LDV’s clients include GE Oil and Gas, KrisEnergy, Mubadala Petroleum, Petronas, and Phu My 3 BOT Power Plant.

Vilaf has two offices in Vietnam; the Ho Chi Minh City office is headed by Vo Ha Duyen, while the Hanoi office is helmed by Tran Tuan Phong.
