Clifford Chance has advised Japanese industrial machinery maker Nabtesco Corp on its acquisition of OCLAP S.R.L., an Italian door system manufacturer.

Clifford Chance Tokyo corporate partner Andrew Whan led the deal, while partners Paolo Sersale and Simonette Candela headed the firm’s team in Milan.

“This is further evidence that Japanese companies are finding attractive M&A opportunities in Europe, particularly in the manufacturing sector,” said Whan in a statement.

The deal was signed on March 28, 2013.
