Chapman Tripp has been appointed as NZ Treasury’s legal adviser for the Genesis Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the next phase of the New Zealand Government’s Mixed Ownership Model (MOM) programme.

The Chapman Tripp team on this deal will be led by partners John Strowger and Stephen Lowe and will include senior associate Rachel Dunne.

Chapman Tripp was also legal adviser to Mighty River Power on its IPO, which was the first of three energy companies to be floated by the current government. The key Chapman Tripp team advising on the Mighty River Power deal was partner Stephen Lowe and Senior Associate Rachel Dunne.
