Hill Dickinson is set to launch a Hong Kong office, its ninth globally and second in Asia after Singapore, in October.
The new office which will focus on marine-related work, will operate in association with a local law firm after the necessary regulatory approval is obtained. It will be headed by a partner who will relocate from the UK.
“We submitted an application to the Law Society in Hong Kong in May after identifying a gap in the local market,” said Peter Jackson, Hill Dickinson’s managing partner, in a statement. “Our Singapore office has performed extremely well, and we believe we can replicate this success in Hong Kong.”
According to the statement, the name of the local firm will be disclosed once the association is finalised.
