K&L Gates has made five new lateral partner hires from a host of firms including Clayton Utz and HWL Ebsworth.

In Perth, former Squire Sanders partner Amber Stanton joins K&L Gates’ energy, & resources practice, while labour, employment & workplace safety partner Andrew Kennedy arrives from Newmont Australia, the Australian subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation.

In Sydney, workplace relations partner Christa Lenard has joined the firm from Clayton Utz while tax partner Betsy-Ann Howe also has been added from Sparke Helmore.

Finance partner Alan Maclean joins the firm’s Melbourne office from HWL Ebsworth.
