Gadens has announced the appointment of a new hire from KPMG in the firm’s corporate advisory & tax group.

Peter Poulos joins the firm’s Melbourne office, bringing with him 25 years of experience as an M&A tax specialist. He was a partner at KPMG since 1996 and was for many years chair of KPMG’s global M&A tax practice.

“We are delighted with Peter’s decision to join Gadens. He is a highly accomplished and well respected practitioner who has led numerous seminal transactions in Australia. His appointment strongly signals our strategic intent to continue enhancing and growing our Corporate Advisory & Tax specialisations,” said Grant Scott-Hayward, Gadens’ CEO in Melbourne. “Positioning Gadens as a premier commercially-minded provider of M&A and corporate legal services is a key objective, and securing someone of Peter’s calibre bodes extremely well for the future for this practice area and for the firm as a whole.”
