Clayton Utz has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Partner to succeed incumbent Darryl McDonough, effective July 2014.

The new CEP will be Robert Cutler,  who has been a partner with the firm since 1998. Cutler’s background is in litigation and dispute resolution, with a focus on commercial disputes and government litigation, particularly in the areas of telecommunications and intellectual property. Cutler served as partner in charge of the Canberra office from 2000 to 2004.

Board Chair Ross Perrett said Cutler's appointment reflected his significant experience and history with Clayton Utz, and his clear vision for the firm's future “as Australia's leading independent law firm.”
