K&L Gates has hired Philip Hyde from Hogan Lovells as a partner in the firm’s finance practice.

Hyde, who will spend his time between K&L Gates’ offices in Tokyo and Hong Kong, advises financial institutions on debt capital markets and finance-related work including restructuring, structured finance, derivatives and securitisations.

The addition of Hyde follows a string of K&L Gates hires in Asia in 2014, including investment management partner Greg Heaton in Hong Kong, corporate partner Siew Kam Boon in Singapore and Shanghai, and commercial disputes partner Takahiro Hoshino and real estate partner Takahiro Tsumagari in Tokyo.
