Offshore law firm Maples and Calder has promoted 12 of its lawyers to the firm’s partnership globally, including James Gaden, Richard Grasby and Terence Ho in Hong Kong and Tom Katsaros in Singapore.
Gaden specialies in private equity and hedge fund formation, and represents a wide range of clients including private equity and hedge fund managers and their onshore counsel, as well as fund service providers and investors.
Grasby is the firm’s Asia head of trusts and private wealth, and advises institutional trustees and individuals on all areas of trust law and related private client issues. He also advises trustees, investment managers and investors on setting up investment funds.
Ho heads Maples and Calder’s China funds practice in Hong Kong, and advises clients on the establishment and maintenance of private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
Based in Singapore, Katsaros focuses on offshore private equity funds and hedge funds. He also advises on M&A, joint ventures and financing transactions.
