Paris-headquartered law firm Cotty Vivant Marchisio & Lauzeral (CVML) has opened its fourth Asia office, and sixth worldwide, in Kuala Lumpur after forming an alliance with Malaysian law firm Abdullah Chan & Co.

Under the terms of the alliance, the two firms will place lawyers in each other's offices and integrate lawyers on teams focused on servicing clients abroad.

“As Malaysian businesses increasingly engage beyond Malaysian borders and international businesses expand in Malaysia, AC and CVML offer the right combination of international and local reach," said Dato’ Muthanna Abdullah, a partner at Abdullah Chan, in a statement.

CVML also has offices in Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai and Yangon.
