Eversheds has hired Samuel Chau as a partner in the firm’s banking group in Hong Kong.

Previously a partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel in Hong Kong, Chau advises clients on corporate banking, real estate finance and asset and project finance matters.

Chau will work closely with Eversheds’ Asia banking and finance head King Tak Fung and partner Michael Yau to extend the firm’s offering to a larger network of corporate and institutional clients.

“Samuel’s focus will be on the development of new streams of corporate banking business for the firm,” Fung said in a statement.
