Slaughter and May has promoted corporate lawyer Charlton Tse to partner at its Hong Kong office.

Tse specialises in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, and is expected to help develop the firm’s corporate and investment banking client relationships in Hong Kong and China.

“[Charlton] is a highly accomplished M&A and corporate finance lawyer with experience both in private practice and as an in-house counsel,” said Peter Brien, partner at Slaughter and May Hong Kong, in a statement. “His strong connections will allow him to play an important part in developing our corporate and investment banking client relationships across the region.”

The promotion means Slaughter and May’s Hong Kong office now has 13 partners and 45 legal staff based in Hong Kong and Beijing.
