Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton has advised the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) on its $1 billion bond issue, while Davis Polk & Wardwell advised the nine underwriters of the offering.
The dual-tranche issue featured $500 million 2.375 percent notes due in 2019 and $500 million 3.250 percent notes due in 2026.
Cleary Gottlieb advised KEXIM on U.S. law, while Lee & Ko served as Korean counsel.
The Davis Polk team that advised the banks was led by corporate partner Eugene Gregor, who is based in Hong Kong.
KEXIM is South Korea’s export credit agency, and provides export credit and guarantee programmes to support Korean companies doing business overseas.
