Ashurst has boosted its financial services regulatory practice with the hire of Ben Hammond from Slaughter and May as a partner in Hong Kong.
Hammond advises financial institutions, global companies and government organisations on UK, EU and international non-contentious regulatory issues.
Hammond is Ashurst’s second new partner in the financial regulation practice in the last six months, following the appointment of Corey McHattan as a partner in Sydney earlier this year, said Jonny Gordon, co-head of Ashurst’s global financial regulation practice, in a statement.
Ashurst has recruited several new partners to its Hong Kong office in recent months, including finance partners Bertie Mehigan and Anna-Marie Slot in August, and debt capital markets partner Nigel Pridmore in July.
