Nominations are now open for the 11th annual Japan Law Awards, with the winners being announced in a gala ceremony at the Ritz Carlton hotel Tokyo on Thursday, June 18.
The event covers a total of 30 categories; including new awards in the practice areas of Banking and Finance and Regulatory Compliance, as well as introducing the Emerging Law Firm of the Year Award, for firms headquartered in Japan with less than 250 fee earners. Deal awards have also had their criteria re-assessed, and the awards will reflect the changing nature of the Japanese legal market in 2015. The awards will also, for the first time, recognise the role of Accountancy firms in the celebrated deals, with the introduction of “Accountancy Deal Firm of the Year” award.
