Hong Kong law firm Howse Williams Bowers (HWB) has hired a team of shipping and insurance lawyers from Eversheds, including partner William Leung.

Leung specialises in shipping, with a focus on contentious matters including maritime, insurance and commercial disputes. He joins HWB along with consultant Heidi Sheung, senior associate Eviana Leung and other fee-earners and support staff.

HWB has grown significantly since its launch in 2012, and with the addition of Leung, now has 16 partners resident in Hong Kong.

Last year, the firm hired family law partner Stacey Devoy from Withers, and disputes partner Alison Scott from Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals in the UK.
