Baker & McKenzie and its member firms have advised Telkom Indonesia on its acquisition of Teleguam Holdings from Advantage Partners, a Japanese private equity firm that was represented by Kirkland & Ellis.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

Telkom is the largest telecommunications services company in Indonesia, while Teleguam is the former state-owned telephone company on the island of Guam, providing telephone, mobile, cable TV and other services.

The Bakers team was led by New York partner Alan F. Zoccolillo, who was supported by partner Daniel Raglan (also New York); partner Tuti Hadiputranto of Hadiputranto Hadinoto and Partners in Jakarta; and principal Ken Chia of Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow in Singapore.

The Kirkland team was led by Hong Kong corporate partners Jesse Sheley and Pierre-Luc Arsenault.
