Eversheds has hired Zeid D. Hanania as a corporate partner in its Dubai office from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a counsel.

Hanania is a corporate transactional lawyer who has advised clients on cross border M&A, joint ventures, equity capital markets and other investment and divestment transactions across the MENA region, Southeast Asia and North America.

“Zeid's appointment is a significant milestone in the growth of our corporate practice,” said Nasser Ali Khasawneh, Eversheds’ Middle East managing partner, in a statement. “Zeid is a well-known and respected figure in the UAE legal community and is highly valued by clients. He is an excellent addition to the team as we continue to increase our mandates across the region.”

Prior to joining Freshfields, Hanania worked with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and Morrison & Foerster in New York, and then with Allen & Overy in Dubai.
