Baker & McKenzie has appointed Chan Leng Sun SC as the chair of its global international arbitration practice group.

Chan takes over from previous co-leaders Grant Hanessian (New York) and Guenter Pickrahn (Frankfurt).

“Leng Sun is a seasoned leader whose strong reputation and profile support our strategy of having the highest level of talent in the key arbitration centers around the world," said Tom Cassels, chair of the firm's global dispute resolution group, in a statement.

Chan has served as head of the dispute resolution practice of Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow in Singapore as well as the Asia-Pacific lead for international arbitration.
