Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh has advised Malaysia's Sunway Construction Group on its 478.4 million ringgit ($125 million) initial public offering, the country’s second-biggest listing so far this year.
Herbert Smith Freehills and Kadir Andri & Partners advised Maybank Investment Bank, RHB Investment Bank and HSBC, who were the joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners and joint underwriters of the IPO. The HSF team was led by partner Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan.
According to Reuters, investors are betting the firm is poised to win business as the government invests heavily to upgrade the country's transport infrastructure.
The biggest IPO of the year so far in Malaysia has been the the 2.74 billion ringgit IPO of the country’s largest independent power firm, Malakoff Corporation, in May.
