Khaitan & Co has hired Rahul Dutt as a partner in its Mumbai office from Reliance Industries, where he was an in-house counsel.

At Reliance, Dutt handled mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other transactions across various sectors.

“Given our working relationship of more than a decade, his joining the firm will further strengthen our relationship with the Reliance Group,” Khaitan & Co partner Haigreve Khaitan said in a statement.

Dutt’s hire takes Khaitan’s partner count to 101.
