Reed Smith has hired Gregory Wang as a partner in Hong Kong from Morrison & Foerster, and two local partners in Singapore – Calvin Chan and Kohe Hasan – from Skadden and Oon & Bazul respectively.

Wang advises clients across Hong Kong and mainland China on capital markets transactions as well as domestic and outbound investment. His capital markets practice includes Hong Kong and U.S. equity offerings, as well as high-yield and convertible note offerings. He also advises on private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions and public company advisory work.

With Wang’s arrival, Reed Smith’s Hong Kong office (which operates as Reed Smith Richards Butler), has more than 100 lawyers.

Chan, who specialises in international commercial arbitration and disputes, also advises clients in relation to FCPA matters and investigations. He has expertise in Greater China and South East Asia, and in the energy and natural resources, life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Also an international commercial arbitration and disputes lawyer, Hasan primarily advises clients in disputes in the infrastructure, shipping, energy, mining and commodities sectors, with a focus on Indonesia, Malaysia and the Indochina region. She has advised clients on the acquisition and financing aspects of energy and infrastructure projects including mine acquisition, concession agreements and power generation assets.
