Khaitan & Co has hired Nikhil Narayanan from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas as a partner in the firm’s New Delhi office.

Narayanan advises international corporates, financial sponsors and investment banks on cross-border M&A and equity capital markets transactions. Prior to Shardul Amarchand, Narayanan has worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and White & Case in London as well as an investment banker at Credit Suisse.

“In addition to his significant M&A experience, Nikhil's equity capital market experience will immensely benefit our clients,” said Amar Sinhji, Khaitan & Co’s executive director, in a statement.

Narayanan’s joining follows Kaithan’s recent hire of Rahul Dutt as a partner in Mumbai.
