Simmons & Simmons has hired James Coleman as a corporate partner in its Dubai office from Allen & Overy.
Coleman focuses his practice on public and private M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations, investment funds and financial services regulation. He advises private equity funds, investment managers, sovereign wealth funds, corporates, financial institutions and state-owned enterprises.
Previously a counsel with Allen & Overy in Doha, Coleman also spent 11 years with Linklaters in the UK, Germany and Dubai.
“We are very pleased that James is joining the firm and he will enhance our sector approach with his expertise in asset management and investment funds and will add a new dimension to the team in Dubai,” Andrew Wingfield, Simmons’ Middle East regional head said in a statement.
Coleman’s addition takes Simmons & Simmons’ Dubai partner count to 12.
