DLA Piper has hired Michael Horn, an infrastructure and structured finance specialist formerly with Clyde & Co, as partner at its Singapore office.

Horn is expected to play a leading role in DLA's Indonesia practice, collaborating closely with associate firm Ivan Almaida Baely & Firmansyah Law Firm (IAB&F).

Horn has more than two decades’ worth of experience in the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on infrastructure transactions and the Indonesian market. His work encompasses trade and commodities as well as project finance and development, acting for governments, developers, lenders, borrowers, bond issuers and credit enhancers.

“Indonesia will continue to be a key market for DLA Piper in Southeast Asia, and for our global firm. We have a global strategic focus on G20 nations, and Michael's appointment as an Indonesia specialist is key part of our strategy,” said Terry O'Malley, chairman emeritus and chair of the firm’s Asia Committee, in a statement.

Horn is the latest new addition to DLA’s Singapore office this year. In January, the firm welcomed corporate partners Joe Bauerschmidt from Jones Day as well as Myles Hankin John Viverito – now DLA’s managing partner for Singapore – from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.
