Widyawan & Partners, Linklaters’ associated firm in Indonesia, has hired Alan Frederik as a corporate partner from the state-owned oil and natural gas corporation Pertamina, where he was chief counsel for legal and compliance.

Fredrik’s career as a general counsel includes stints at BPMIGAS, BP Tangguh LNG and ARCO International. In addition, he was served as a special counsel with Widyawan & Partners before he assumed his role at Pertamina.
 
“In an increasingly complex and competitive marketplace where talent and expertise are key, we are delighted that Alan has decided to re-join us. His joining provides the added capacity and profile required for our growing practice in Indonesia,” said the firm’s senior partner Widyawan in a statement.
