ASAR - Al Ruwayeh & Partners has advised the joint lead managers in National Bank of Kuwait’s (NBK) 125 million Kuwaiti dirham ($410 million) bond issuance.

ASAR partners Ibrahim Sattout and John Cunha acted as Kuwait counsel to the joint lead managers Watani Investment Company K.S.C.C. and KAMCO Investment Company K.S.C.P on the Tier 2 subordinated, Basel III compliant bonds.

“The Basel III compliant bonds have seen a strong demand in the Kuwaiti and MENA markets, which is a reflection of NBK’s proactive management and strength of its capital base,” said Sattout in a statement.
