White & Case has recruited Catherine Tsang as partner in its global mergers & acquisitions practice in Hong Kong, boosting the firm’s strategic plans for growth in Asia.

Previously a partner at Paul Hastings, Tsang has more than 15 years of experience and advises clients on equity capital markets deals, primarily on the Hong Kong Main Board. She counsels corporations on general corporate and commercial matters.

“Her broad experience and language skills will be particularly valuable assets as we continue building our China corporate practice and grow our role supporting Chinese clients on their international growth ambitions,” said Barrye Wall, White & Case partner and regional section head for Asia, in a statement.

Tsang’s appointment is the latest in a string of hires designed to boost White & Case’s M&A capabilities in Asia. In November, the firm snapped up capital markets specialist Jessica Zhou as a local partner at its Hong Kong office. Earlier in 2015, private equity expert Peggy Wang also joined White & Case’s Hong Kong branch.
