The Role

An opportunity for an ambitious and experienced lawyer to join a leading international Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) law firm in Asia, based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be focused on technology, data protection, sourcing and cloud, with substantial industry experience, whether in private practice or in-house. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a path to partnership, working with many existing clients of the firm, being the leading names in TMT.

Key Requirements

• 5+ PQE qualified in a Commonwealth jurisdiction
• Top tier international and Asian firms only or TMT-focused boutique
• Substantial experience in technology, data protection, sourcing and cloud. Some financial services and/or telecoms experience preferred but not essential
• Experience can be purely in private practice (at a leading firm) or a combination of private practice and in-house experience.

Preferred:

• existing experience of working in Asia, although client will consider candidates from other regions provided that they have the right experience
• previous experience of client relationship management and operating within key client facing teams if in private practice (or as instructing client if in-house)
• able to work independently and confidently with minimal partner supervision (i.e. taking instructions directly from clients, scoping out and delivering the work and following up on additional opportunities).
• an interest in business development and building a practice with a path to partnership, in a supportive environment.
• The candidate will work closely with and be supported by the leading teDATAam of recognised lawyers in the TMT space in the region and internationally.  This is an opportunity to become a key part of this leading team.
