Olswang has named corporate specialist Andrew Stott as its new managing partner for Asia, taking over from Rob Bratby, who is expected to return to the London office and assume a role with the firm’s global telecoms and emerging markets practice.

Stott, whose appointment will take effect in May, represents clients on investment deals, strategic joint ventures and international M&A. Focusing on multi-jurisdiction transactions, he has handled over 100 corporate mandates since moving to Singapore in 2012 to set up Olswang's corporate practice in Asia.

“Andrew’s corporate expertise, combined with the recent arrival of Toby Grainger, will be a tremendous asset in terms of strengthening and deepening our corporate offering in the region, which has been identified as a priority by our clients and which has been very successful for us to date,” said Olswang CEO Paul Stevens in a statement.

Olswang has also promoted Matt Pollins, a Singapore-based associate to its partnership. A commercial lawyer who specialises in TMT, Pollins provides legal counsel to Asian governments, startups and multinational companies on commercial, transactional, regulatory and IP issues, particularly logistics, cloud computing and e-commerce, among others.
