Offshore law firm Ogier has moved Oliver Payne from its Cayman Islands office to Hong Kong, where he has been named as a partner in the Caribbean Dispute Resolution team.
As a commercial litigation practitioner with more than six years’ experience of Cayman company disputes and insolvency and restructuring, Payne has acted for financial institutions operating in London and Hong Kong. He has also been involved in insolvency matters concerning accountancy firms such as EY, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte and Grant Thornton.
With experience in international fund disputes, Payne acts for and against service providers, including directors, investment managers, administrators, shareholders and creditors.
The promotion of Payne, who joined Ogier from the legacy Herbert Smith in 2009, takes the total number of partners at Ogier globally to 2009.
