Gowling WLG has hired intellectual property expert Jon Parker as a partner in it Dubai office from Clyde & Co.

A trademarks specialist, Parker manages trade mark portfolios throughout the UAE and MENA regions. He also advises on creation, protection and management of intellectual property rights matters.

Prior to to his stint with Clyde & Co, where he headed the trademarks team for the MENA region, Parker was with Rouse.

“Jon will contribute a high level of expertise in the development and delivery of an integrated international service, strengthening our IP capability in the UAE and beyond,” said Rob MacDonald, Gowling WLG’s IP co-head, in a statement.
