Hogan Lovells has appointed M&A expert Lisa Yano as partner at its Tokyo office from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Yano is registered in Japan as a foreign legal consultant. Her practice, which spans almost 30 years, covers joint ventures, restructurings, compliance and internal investigations as well as licensing and other technology deals across sectors including media, electronics, telecommunications and life sciences.

“Lisa has a profound understanding of the Japanese market and her contribution will be invaluable as we continue the build-out of our capabilities in the region,” said Patrick Sherrington, regional managing partner for Asia and the Middle East at Hogan Lovells, in a statement.
