Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has hired Shagoofa Rashid Khan as a partner in Mumbai to lead its national funds and investments practice. Khan is a former head of Nishith Desai Associates’ real estate and funds practice.   

Khan joins CAM from Indian investment bank IDFC, where she was senior director and head of legal and compliance. She advises on structuring funds, fund documentation, acquisitions, exit and restructuring. An expert in corporate law matters, she also had stints at Tata Services and Kotak Investments where she headed the companies’ legal teams.

Khan’s appointment comes on the heels of CAM’s hire of Ruetveij Pandya, who joined the firm’s Mumbai corporate team from J.P. Morgan.
