The Hong Kong office of Hogan Lovells has hired capital markets partners Sammy Li and Stephen Peepels from Paul Hastings and DLA Piper, respectively.

Li was previously chair of Paul Hastings’ Hong Kong office. His practice focuses on equity capital markets, IPOs and secondary offerings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. His expertise is in representing international and PRC investment banks as well as Chinese issuers.

Peepels was head of the U.S. capital markets practice at DLA Piper, and head of the corporate group at the firm’s Hong Kong office. His practice includes both debt and equity financing transactions as well as private equity and M&A transactions across the Asia Pacific region. 

“The addition of Sammy and Stephen significantly enhances our offering in Hong Kong and the wider Asia-Pacific region,” said David Gibbons, global head of the Hogan Lovells corporate practice group, in a statement.
