Exciting opening from a leading media and entertainment global player to join this close knit and expanding in house legal team in Singapore for work across APAC.
The Role
- Providing legal support and advice to the group’s media business unit.
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of commercial and corporate contracts relating to the exploitation of commercial rights to sporting events including media rights, sponsorship and production agreements.
- You will also work across a number of business areas providing legal advice to operations and provide legal support for general corporate and company secretarial matters.
- Liaise with external counsel and regional offices on a variety of legal matters.
- Reporting line to General Counsel Asia.
- Key Candidate Requirements
- 6+ PQE in a Commonwealth jurisdiction with international law firm experience preferred
- General corporate background with in house experience across a broad range of commercial matters
- Candidates with in house legal experience looked upon favourably
- Lawyers with solid experience in the sports industry – especially legal/contractual matters arising out of regional events across a variety of sports looked upon favourably
- Candidates with no sports industry experience are also welcome to apply
- Excellent drafting skills
- Keen interest in sport coupled with solid business acumen
- Team player
- Ability to work closely with senior management
