DLA Piper’s strategic alliance in Indonesia with local firm Ivan Almaida Baely & Firmansyah (IAB&F), first announced in May 2013, is set to come to an end in November this year, according to the two firms.

In an email, a DLA spokesperson said that while the “formal relationship with IAB&F is ending soon,” it “will continue to work with them and other Indonesian firms based on the needs of our clients.”

Reached for comment, Ivan F. Baely, managing partner of IAB&F, confirmed that the alliance was coming to an end in November. “We will continue to operate our business including working together with our friends from DLA Piper and other international firms as usual because the relationship with DLA Piper has never been an exclusive or fully integrated alliance,” he said. “As to our firm’s plan going forward, we are still open to future possibilities depending on the opportunity that arises.”
