Malaysian law firm MahWengKwai & Associates (MWKA) has set up a sports law practice after hiring a team of four lawyers from Richard Wee & Yip, including partner Richard Wee.

Wee’s team includes lawyers Puan Sarah Kambali, Lesley Lim and Marlysa Abdul Razak. 

A sports law specialist, Wee has organised the Sports Law Conference, the Sports Law Association of Malaysia's (SLAM) annual event, since 2013. He is also a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association of Malaysia and the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association.

With the addition of this team, MWKA now has 20 lawyers, including three partners.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
