India’s Kochhar & Co. has hired Gautam Bhatikar as a senior partner and co-head of its Mumbai office from ALMT Legal. 

Bhatikar, an expert in maritime and shipping, insurance and dispute resolution, will also be spending time in Dubai in order to help develop the firm’s international commercial arbitration practice.

Bhatikar regularly advises on disputes dealing with mortgage claims, bills of lading, charter parties, ship building & ship repair contracts, collision & limitation of liability, salvage, general average and marine pollution. He joined ALMT Legal in 2010 from Paras Kuhad & Associates.
