DLA Piper has hired Andrew Payne as a partner in its restructuring and special situations practice from U.S. private equity firm Clearwater Capital Partners in Hong Kong.

Payne’s focus is on special situations, bond and bank debt restructurings and private equity M&A. He has advised rescue financiers, noteholders, insolvency office holders like receivers or liquidators, corporates and PE, hedge and special situation funds. 

Payne’s arrival takes the total number of partners at DLA Piper’s Hong Kong office to 31.
