PwC Legal, the legal division of accounting giant PricewaterhouseCoopers, has appointed Carl Dunton as finance partner in Singapore from Ashurst.

Dunton, who specialises in restructuring, special situations and banking, focused on emerging market cross-border financings at his former firm.

Prior to joining Ashurst, Dunton worked at White & Case for five years as an associate and had a seven-year stint with Linklaters.

In December 2016, PwC Legal opened its office in Singapore – its first in the APAC region – with the hires of partners Natalie Breen and Keith McGuire from Norton Rose Fulbright and Ashurst, respectively

Last month, it also expanded into Hong Kong through an association with Tiang & Co, a local firm established by former King & Wood Mallesons partner David Tiang.
