Indian law firm Phoenix Legal has hired corporate specialist Shadaan Mohammed Saipillai from Kochhar & Co.

Saipillai, who will be based in Chennai, will join Phoenix Legal’s corporate and M&A practice. He leaves Kochhar after working there for more than 14 years.

His practice covers joint ventures and real estate, including acquisition of immovable property and leasing transactions. His work also focuses on commercial laws with emphasis on the retail sector, labour and employment laws and dispute resolution. 

Saipillai also assists clients in contentious and non-contentious matters on Indian laws.
