Morrison & Foerster has hired Serena Tan as a corporate partner in Hong Kong from Debevoise & Plimpton. 

Tan acts for various sponsors and investors in the formation, structuring and related activities of buyout funds, growth capital funds, venture capital funds, co-investment vehicles, and other alternative investment funds. She was part of the Debevoise team that advised Hony Capital in its $430 million investment in WeWork Companies in March last year.  

MoFo has been steadily expanding its Hong Kong office in the past few years, hiring at least four partners since 2015. Chuan Sun from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Vivian Yiu from Allen & Overy both joined the firm last year. In 2015, Jason Nelms and Adrian Yip moved to MoFo from Proskauer Rose and Winston & Strawn, respectively.
