Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has welcomed Komal Gupta as its head of innovation and artificial intelligence (AI).
Gupta will work with CAM’s top management to develop and drive its innovation strategy and will be involved initiatives aimed at transforming legal-service delivery. She is also expected to help incubate ideas in the firm’s “innovation lab”, an initiative aimed at exploring cutting-edge technology and different delivery models to the practice of law.
Prior to joining CAM, Gupta was vice president at Integreon Managed Solutions. With 12 years of experience in legal operations management, business development and regulatory compliance, she brings her proficiency in technology and process to the firm.
CAM’s approach to innovation goes beyond “ticking boxes with technology, or following the crowd,” said Cyril Shroff, the firm’s managing partner, in a statement. “It recognises that successful innovation initiatives involve people, culture, clients, and leadership,” he added.
