India’s Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has appointed Raghubir Menon as the regional practice head for M&A and private equity in Mumbai, where he will be joined by fellow corporate partners Natashaa Shroff and Ekta Gupta.

The move comes after the recent exit of Shuva Mandal, SAM’s national M&A practice head.

Menon has acted for private equity and sovereign wealth funds, investment and commercial banks, multilateral agencies, and strategic corporate clients on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions.

His practice also covers matters related to new fundraises and fund formation as well as on-shore & off-shore structuring.

Prior to joining SAM, Menon worked with White & Case in London and Singapore for five years till 2011. He began his career as an associate at the now-defunct Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co. 

Natashaa Shroff, who is the daughter of Shardul Shroff, the firm’s executive chairman. specialises in M&A, PE, joint ventures and corporate advisory. Gupta primarily works in M&A, foreign direct investments and real estate matters.
