RHTLaw Taylor Wessing has hired corporate partner Wee Jee Kin from Chinese oil and energy conglomerate China Sonangol International.

Wee has extensive experience in international M&A, handling  cross-border transactions that span geographical locations in Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East and the U.S.

His practice also covers expertise in commodities, healthcare, petroleum products, technology and telecommunications.

Wee served as the group head of legal at China Sonangol for five years, overseeing a team of lawyers from China, France and Singapore. Prior to that, he was the head of group legal and company secretary of consumer products manufacturer Hanwell Holdings (PSC Corporation) for five years.

Wee’s hiring follows the appointment of Ben Constance and Gilad Shay, who joined RHTLaw’s corporate practice in February 2017
