Baker McKenzie has hired Seiji Matsuzoe as a capital markets partner in the Tokyo office from White & Case, where he was a local partner.
Matsuzoe’s practice focuses on the financing of capital market transactions and structured finance using derivatives and capital market financing, among other financial transactions. He is also experienced in domestic and international regulatory and filing requirements for cross-border transactions.
“Our Capital Markets practice group has long been recognised as a pioneer in securities and capital markets work in Japan,” said Tokyo office managing partner Jeremy Pitts, in a statement. “Our team advises Japanese and foreign corporations and government organizations on various stock- and bond-related issues. Seiji's ability and experience will strengthen the group's capabilities, and expand our ability to advise on derivatives and structured product transactions.”
